We called this image “Zebra Room”, because the striped light effect running through a crumbling space resembles the pattern of this animal. The photo was taken in the architect’s house in the famous abandoned town of Kolmanskop in Namibia. The desert has been taking back the crumbling city for many decades, creating incredible scenarios there. This old German South-West Africa town was left behind in the 1950s when diamond mining finally stopped there.
Series: Ghost Town (Namibia)
This photography is ideal for decorating your home, business or leisure places. It shows off particularly well with a dark frame, ideally black. What an incredible image with its sharp black and white effects. It will do very well on a large wall in any modern or industrial-style environment. Especially when joined by its sister image, “Top to Bottom“.
